Xactimate Supplement Writing for Restoration Contractors

When the carrier's estimate doesn't match the job, a supplement needs to show exactly what was missed and why. We review the carrier scope line by line against your documentation and write the supplement with the support attached.

What to send us

  • The carrier's estimate (PDF or ESX)
  • Your original estimate, if you wrote one
  • Photos, logs and notes supporting the missing items
  • Any adjuster correspondence about the disputed items

Missing something? Send what you have. We'll tell you what else we need before we start.

What the estimate covers

  • Line-by-line comparison

Carrier scope compared against the work performed.

  • Missed items

Missing quantities, trades and code items identified and priced.

  • Documentation

Each added item tied to photos, logs or notes.

  • Revisions

Change orders and carrier-requested revisions turned around quickly.

How it works

  1. 01

    Get your portal login

Tell us about your company and the work you need. We set up your client portal the same day, with no software to install.

  2. 02

    Upload the job

Pick a service, add the property address and notes, then upload photos, drying logs and field sketches or paste a Matterport link.

  3. 03

    We write the scope

An estimator sketches the structure in Xactimate, applies the price list for the loss ZIP code and scopes every trade. A senior estimator then reviews it.

  4. 04

    Download ESX + PDF

You get an email when it's ready. Download the native .ESX file and PDF from the portal, then review and send it to the carrier under your own brand.

Supplements FAQs

More answers on our FAQ page.

Do you negotiate with the adjuster?

No. We write the supplement and the supporting notes; you or your public adjuster submit it and handle the conversation.

What files do I get back?

A native Xactimate .ESX file you can open, adjust and upload to the carrier, plus a PDF of the estimate with the sketch and photo references. Both are unbranded so they go out under your company name.

Ready to hand off your next estimate?

Get a portal login, upload the job and have a carrier-ready ESX back in 24–48 hours.
